Geek.com is infecting visitors with malwares.
Geek.com is one of the oldest technology news website and working since 1996. Securty researchers warn that the website geek.com was compromised and many of it's pages are infecting it's visitors. It is executing drive-by download attacks against it's visitors. Attacker have injected IFrames into website pages in many of the pages of the website. These infected IFrames are taking visitors to malicious websites. these malicious website checks various programs user have installed on their computers and then serve exploits for vulnerabilities in those products.
Drive-by download attacks are currently one of the main malware distribution channels on the Internet. They are very dangerous because in most cases they are completely transparent to victims.
Users can protect their system by updating all software and operating system regularly. Use of antivirus which can scan web traffic is also recommended.
